About Erin
As a child, I was very artistic and made my first work of art at the age of 4. I continued drawing and painting landscapes on my own until I decided to pursue music in college. Due to the business of being a professional musician, I dropped all artistic endeavors for many years.
Then in May 2021, I was encouraged to try portrait painting by my husband, Peter, and my brother-in-law, Matt Philleo – who is an amazing artist who taught me how to paint portraits. Since then, I have been prolific in completing many paintings which you can view in my gallery.
I truly believe this was a gift from God, as I had never painted people before, nor had I cultivated any realistic painting techniques before May. Many prayers go into each painting and for my clients, that they may experience joy from my artwork.
I live in sunny Titusville, Florida, with my husband, Peter, and my two cats, Futomaki and Shoga.
Getting a commissioned portrait is easy!
- Find a photo of the person or pet you want painted, decide what size and options you’d like (i.e., leaving out background, different colors, etc.).
- Fill out the contact form below along the the reference photo(s) and any special instructions
- I’ll get in touch with you to discuss the details and confirm the pricing along with any shipping costs if applicable, and let you know the timeline of when the portrait will be completed. Usually portraits are completed within 3 weeks of receiving the downpayment
- When the work is complete, I’ll send you a proof to make sure you are satisfied. If everything looks great, then the remaining balance is due and the work will be shipped to you!
Why Custom Art?
Custom portraits and artwork serve to immortalize a memory in a way simple digital photography can’t. It’s a tangible heirloom that can be gifted or handed down to offspring. A real painting is a thoughtful, timeless representation of the things most important to us: our people, pets, and memories.
The Process
Portraits are created from an initial pencil sketch, then layered with translucent tones to achieve deep, rich final colors. A reference photo or photos is used throughout the process.
